CCOBRA NEWS -- January 2010

Welcome All!!!

We are very excited to start the new year with CCOBRA. Mostly because there is an amazing $1,000 added money for the January race thanks to Steamy Concepts Carpet Cleaning. If you are in the need for their services please contact them and give them your business.

A few things that will be changing for the 2010 year:

**The youth class will be split into two different age groups. The Pee Wee class will be 9 years and younger. The youth class will be 10 to 15 (ages are determined by the age of the child as of January 1st 2010. Example: If Sally is 9 years old on January 1st and turns 10 on January 14th, she will run in the Pee Wee for the year.) The Pee Wee class will be awarded ribbons at the end of each race with all monies thru the year going to year end awards. Fees for the youth and pee wee will be $10.00 with no arena fee. Huge thanks to Terri Murphy for taking care of our youth this year, trust me, you will not be disappointed.

**As mentioned there will be $1,000 added money to the January race. Our officers are working at having added money at each race this year.

**Membership ($25.00 PER PERSON) and nominations ($25.00 PER HORSE) must be paid no later than the March 13th race. If you have run in January and February and do not pay your fees in March those points will not count towards the year end. Youth and Pee Wee will only pay membership fee, no nomination fee.

**Entries for 2010 will be $45.00 per horse for the Open Class.

**CCOBRA will run 14 races for 2010 dropping the 3 lowest per horse for year end points.


MORE GREAT STUFF FOR OUR JANUARY RACE:

As you all know, Sue McFarlane & Dee Dee Taylor put on the Beth Cooper Memorial every year. They have donated 4 "Barrel Bucks" which entitles you to enter Thursday's race at the Beth Cooper for FFFRRRREEEEEE!!!! How cool is that. OH!!! and there's a $1,000 added to that race too!! Man, added money everywhere, how lucky can we be? Check out the flyer for the Beth Cooper at www.theclassifiedhorse.com. Every person who pays entries at the CCOBRA race on the 9th will have their name put in the drawing. The "Barrel Bucks" will be drawn throughout the race on the 9th. Huge thanks to Dee Dee and Sue!!!!!

Our race will start a 11 a.m. on the 9th with TO's starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Marana Heritage Arena.
